Cast on multiples of 19.

2nd row: *p1 (p2 crossed right) 3 times, k5, p2, k5*

Double Rib

Cast on an even number of stitches.
1st row: *k2, p2*
2nd row: k the k sts, p the p sts, exactly as stitches appear on needle.

English Rib

Cast on an even number of stitches
1st row: knit
2nd row: *k1, k1 in row below*, k2
Rep the 2nd row, as required.

Alternating English Rib

Cast on an even number of stitches.
1st row: knit.
2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th rows: *k1, k1 in row below*
6th, 7th, 8th and 9th rows: *k1 in row below, k1*
When 9th row has been worked, rep 2nd - 9th rows, as required.
