Woven Rib

Cast on an uneven number of stitches.
Row 1: *k1, yfwd, sl 1 as if to p, ybk*, k1.
Row 2: purl
These 2 rows form pattern.

Turban Stitch

Cast on in multiples of 4.
Row 1: *k3, p1*.
Row 2: *p3, k1*.
Row 3 and all odd numbered rows: *k 3rd st on needle, going in front of 1st and 2nd sts, now k 1st st and pass onto right needle, k2nd loop and pass onto right needle tog with 3rd st already worked; sl 1 as if to p, yo*.
Row 4 and all even numbered rows: *p3, k tog slipped st and yo from previous row*.
These last 2 rows form the pattern to be repeated as required.

Twisted Cable

Cast on in multiples of 9 plus 3.
Row 1: *p3, k6*, p3.
Row 2, 3, 4: work exactly as stitches appear on needle.
Row 5: *p3, sl 3 sts onto a cable needle and keep to back of work, k3, k3 from cable needle*, p3.
Rep 2nd - 5th rows as required.

Alternating Cable

Cast on in multiples of 4 plus 2.
Rows 1, 3: *k2, p2*, k2.
Rows 2, 4: p2, *k2, p2*.
Row 5: *k2 crossed to left, p2* k2 crossed to left.
Rows 6, 8, 10: work as sts appear on needle.
Row 11: *p2, k2 crossed to left*, p2
Row 12: work exactly as sts appear on needle.
Rep these 12 rows as required.

Open Cable

Cast on in multiples of 11 plus 3.
Row 1: *p3, k8*, p3.
Rows 2, 3, 4: work exactly as sts appear on needle.
Row 5: *p3, sl 2 sts onto cable needle and hold behind work, k2, k2 sts from cable needle, sl 2 sts onto cable needle and hold in front of work, k2, k2 sts from cable needle *p3.
Row 6 - 10: work sts as they appear on needle.
Rep 5th - 10th rows as required.
