Small Mesh Stitch

Cast on in multiples of 4 plus 2.
Row 1: *k1, bring yarn to front of work and slip 3 sts as if to purl from left to right needle, carry yarn in front of slipped sts and yo around right needle once*. Rep to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 2: purl, allowing the yo st on previous row to drop behind work. (This will produce a bar on right side of work.)
Row 3: knit
Row 4: purl
Row 5: k2, *pick up bar from first row with left needle and knit into the back of it and next st tog, bring yarn to front of work, slip 3 sts as if to purl from left to right needle, carry yarn in front of slipped sts and yo around right needle once*.
Row 6: as 2nd row.
Row 7: as 3rd row.
Row 8: as 4th row.
Row 9: k1, *bring yarn to front of work and slip 3 sts as if to purl, carry yarn in front of slipped sts and yo around right needle once, pick up bar from 5th row and knit into the back of it and next st tog, * end k1.
Rep 2nd-9th rows as required.

Ridged Diamond Stitch

Cast on in multiples of 8.
Row 1: *p1, k7*.
Row 2: *k1, p5, k1, p1*.
Row 3: *k2, p1, k3, p1, k1*
Row 4: *p2, k1, p1, k1, p3*
Row 5: *k4, p1, k3*
Row 6: as 4th row.
Row 7: as 3rd row.
Row 8: as 2nd row.
These 8 rows form the pattern.

Diagonal Stitch

Cast on in multiples of 8.
Row 1: *p2, k6*.
Row 2 and all even numbered rows: work exactly as stitches appear on needle.
Row 3: k2, *p2, k6*
Row 5: k4, *p2, k6*.
Row 7: *k6, p2*.
Row 8: as 2nd row.
Rep 1st-8th rows as required.

Embossed Diamond

Cast on in multiples of 8.
Row 1: *p1, k6, p1*
Row 2 and all even rows: work exactly as stitches appear on needle.
Row 3: *k1, p1, k4, p1, k1*
Row 5: *(k2, p1) twice, k2*.
Row 7 and 9: *k3, p2, k3*.
Row 11: as 5th row.
Row 13: as 3rd row.
Row 15: as 1st row.
Row 16: as 2nd row.
Rep 1st - 16th rows, as required.

Crossed Segments

Cast on in multiples of 12 plus 2.
Row 1: *k6, p2, k4*. Rep to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 2: p2 *(p2, k2) twice, p4*.
Row 3: *k2, p2, k6, p2*. Rep to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 4: k2, *p10, k2*.
Row 5: as 3rd row.
Row 6: as 2nd row.
Rep 1st - 6th rows, as required.
